The UN resolution affirmed the right of the Palestinians.

According to Al Jazeera, “Mohammed Jassim Al-Badawi”, Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, welcomed the UN General Assembly’s request to the Zionist regime to end the occupation of Palestine.

In this regard, he said that this UN General Assembly resolution “affirms the right of the Palestinian people to reclaim their occupied lands and shows that Israel’s actions, including the expansion of settlements, are not recognized at the regional and international level.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously approved the resolution on the need to end the occupation and the illegal existence of Israel in the Palestinian territories.

In this resolution, the Zionist regime has been given one year to evacuate and leave the occupied Palestinian lands.

The Quds Al-Akhbariya website wrote in a report about this: The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for the end of Israel’s “illegal presence” in the occupied Palestinian territories within 12 months.

124 countries voted in favor of this resolution, 14 countries voted against and 43 countries abstained.

This high positive vote was obtained while the representative of the United States in the United Nations asked the member states of the United Nations General Assembly to vote against this resolution.

This resolution stipulates that the occupying government must immediately end its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territories within a maximum period of 12 months from the date of the decision.

The Zionist regime captured the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem in the 1967 war, and since then has increasingly expanded settlements in these areas. In the current situation, the UN resolution also refers to the need to end Israel’s occupation in these areas.
