PNN – Emphasizing its “firm commitment” to peace and protection of human rights, Spain’s “University of Granada” (UGR) announced the end of any scientific, technical cooperation and transfer of students and professors with universities and institutions of the Zionist regime.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Efe news agency, the agreement on the termination of relations with the centers of the Zionist regime was approved and entered into force at the extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors of the University of Granada yesterday, and this Spanish university announced by publishing a statement that it has ended its cooperation with the Israeli regime.
In this way, the University of Granada agreed to suspend relations with Israeli centers, with the aim of ending the killing of the Palestinian people and until the cessation of military operations or at least the firm condemnation of human rights violations by the universities and institutions of this regime.
In particular, the University of Granada has suspended the transfer of students, teaching and research staff, technical, managerial, administrative and service staff with Israeli universities.

Also, the educational contracts and summer courses signed with Bal Ilan University and Tel Aviv University were terminated; New contracts will not be signed and this university will not participate in new international academic cooperation projects with Israeli universities.
The Board of Directors of the University of Granada also approved the strengthening of relations with Palestinian universities as well as cooperation with non-governmental organizations in order to support and host Palestinian students, researchers and professors.
UGR has also agreed not to participate in any new conventions, agreements or research projects in collaboration with Israeli universities, organizations or institutions.
An extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors of the University of Granada was held at the head office of this university with the presence of about 100 students who have been camping in the Fuentenueva campus since May 8th in solidarity with the Palestinian people and demanded the end of relations with Israeli centers.
