The US Senate cut aid to UNRWA.

The U.S. Senate finally passed the $118.3 billion border security and foreign aid package without allocating funds for the Palestinian Refugee Agency.

In this aid package, there is no budget for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA). Because the Zionist regime has falsely accused 12 employees of this institution of being involved in the October 7 attack by Hamas against this regime.

One of the advisers of the Senate and a source familiar with this package stated that no funds have been allocated for UNRWA in this aid package because the investigation into Israel’s claim regarding the involvement of dozens of former employees of this organization in the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel is still ongoing. flow However, the final amount of humanitarian aid allocated to the people of Gaza has not decreased.

Last week, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced that 9 of the former employees of the organization who are facing this charge have been fired and 2 others have died.

Also, in this package, 10 billion dollars have been allocated to send humanitarian aid to provide water, food, shelter and medical aid for Ukrainian civilians and innocent civilians in Gaza. Protective solutions have also been considered to prevent these humanitarian aid shipments from falling into the hands of Hamas militants and other groups.

Meanwhile, Senator Bernie Sanders last week asked the US government not to cancel aid to this humanitarian institution. He warned that this would create a humanitarian crisis.
