The Wall Street Journal claims that the US-Arab security treaty is imminent

PNN – The “Wall Street Journal” newspaper, citing American and Saudi officials, claimed that with the aim of persuading Riyadh and Tel Aviv to establish diplomatic relations, the Biden administration is close to finalizing a treaty with Saudi Arabia, according to which Washington undertakes to defend this oil-rich country.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, this newspaper reported that the potential deal is part of a broader package that includes a civilian nuclear deal between the US and Saudi Arabia, steps to create a Palestinian state and an end to the war in Gaza.

Ratification of the treaty, known as the “strategic alliance agreement” according to the Wall Street Journal, requires the approval of two-thirds of US senators. A subject that is difficult to achieve unless it is tied to the normalization of relations between the Zionist regime and Saudi Arabia.

This newspaper quoted American and Saudi officials and wrote: The draft of this treaty is partially based on the bilateral security agreement between Washington and Tokyo.

Citing the draft of this treaty, this media reported that in exchange for the US commitment to help defend Saudi Arabia against possible attacks, Washington will be allowed access to Saudi soil and airspace to protect the interests of the US and its regional partners.

This newspaper quoted informed officials and wrote that one of the goals of this treaty will be to bring Saudi Arabia closer to America by preventing China from building a base in this country or pursuing security cooperation with Riyadh.
