The war has united Iranians around defending the country.

Iranians

PNN – In a field report from Tehran, a senior Reuters correspondent says that despite the attacks and daily funerals of victims, Iranians are trying to continue their normal lives and, regardless of political views, have a sense of national solidarity in the face of foreign attack and are calling for an end to the war.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Ahmad Jadollah, Reuters’ senior correspondent in Tehran, reported on the high morale of the Iranian people in the midst of the US-Zionist war.

Reuters, which has reopened its office in Iran after more than 10 years, has had the opportunity to cover the war on the ground for the first time. Jadallah says their team has been in Iran since the early days of the war and has been reporting in Tehran and other regions.

National unity against aggression

In the video report prepared by the team, the people of Tehran are seen shopping at the market, crossing relatively deserted streets, and trying to return to normal life.

Jadollah says the remarkable thing about this trip is the unity of the Iranian people against foreign attack: We found that most Iranians, whether they are supporters or critics, do not accept an attack from the US, Israel or anyone else when it comes to their country. Even if they disagree, they care about their country.

Lebanon, Gaza, Iran; civilians are always the victims

Every night, large crowds gather in Tehran’s main square to support the government and the armed forces.

Jadallah, who is originally from Gaza and has covered various wars, including in Ukraine, Libya and Iraq, says: Everywhere I’ve been, civilians have been victims of war. In Gaza, there were civilians, in Ukraine, there are civilians in Iran. Wherever there is war, there is war.

At the end of the report, the senior Reuters correspondent points out the kindness and warmth of the Iranian people and says: The Iranian people are very kind. Whenever we talk on the street, they are very friendly. Our only problem sometimes is the language barrier. And one more good thing: Iranian kebab is really delicious.
