PNN – The International Crisis Group, which conducts field research on international violent conflicts, emphasized the necessity of a long-term ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and announced that the north of this region is facing the worst starvation in the world in recent decades.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Arabic 21, the International Crisis Group warned that northern Gaza is still facing the risk of starvation.
The International Crisis Group, a non-governmental organization, considered the current priority in the Gaza Strip to be the solution to the humanitarian crisis through the increase of aid in the shadow of the continuous attacks of the Zionist regime.
The report of the International Crisis Group states: The war in Gaza is not over yet, and the north of this region is facing the worst famine in the world in recent decades. Aid must reach the entire Gaza Strip without hindrance and in a stable and safe manner.
Also, in this report, referring to the inadequacy of aid to the Gaza Strip, the only way to send aid and prevent the mass death of the residents of this area is to establish a ceasefire.
The aforementioned organization stated in its report: Although Tel Aviv allowed more aid to enter the Gaza Strip last March, this aid is not enough. The worst situation is in the north of the Gaza Strip, where Israel is targeting Hamas figures and civilians overseeing aid.
While describing the situation in the Gaza Strip as dangerous, the International Crisis Group added: Although the number of deaths due to malnutrition is still low, the pictures of children show the terrible effects of hunger. Israel has imposed a severe blockade, especially since last October 7 (2023).
This organization asked the Zionist regime to refrain from targeting local authorities in Gaza who are active in supporting and monitoring the distribution of aid.
