PNN – After the Israeli Prime Minister opposed the White House’s support for the “establishment of an independent Palestinian state”, a new wave of American criticism, from the White House to the Congress, was launched against Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies.
Pakistan News Network; “America will not stop trying to achieve a two-state solution; A plan that benefits both Israelis and Palestinians”, these are the statements of the US National Security Council spokesman, John Kirby, in response to Netanyahu’s positions.
This White House official also acknowledged that “the number of civilian casualties of the war in Gaza is very high”, in opposition to Tel Aviv’s policies, stating that “Gaza will exist after the war and will not be occupied again”.
In his press conference last night and in response to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s words about the formation of a Palestinian state to get out of conflicts, Netanyahu said that we should be able to say “no” even to our friends.
The American NBC channel, citing White House officials, reported that “Blinken told Netanyahu that there is no military solution for Hamas, and you must realize this, or history will repeat itself.”
This wave of opposition to Tel Aviv was not limited to the White House and also reached the US Congress. Democrat Senator Chris Murphy stated that “Netanyahu’s opposition to the creation of a Palestinian state will complicate the approval of the aid package to Israel in the Senate.”
Another American senator, Peter Welch, said that Netanyahu does not understand the concerns of the United States, and noted that “Netanyahu’s refusal to establish a Palestinian state shows that he wants to take America’s money but, as always, rejects its recommendations.”
