PNN – The wave of student uprising in support of Palestine, which started in the universities of the United States and reached France and England, is now sweeping universities of Australia.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, pointing out that the sit-ins in support of Palestine in Australia started last week, reported that the number of sit-ins in Australian universities has increased.
By Monday, protesters had set up a camp of tents on the lawn of the Australian National University, and another camp would be set up at Curtin University in Perth on Tuesday, according to the report.

It’s been almost a week since the encampment at the University of Sydney, inspired by the pro-Palestinian protests across the United States, began on April 17 at Columbia University in New York. Similar sit-ins have been reported at the University of Melbourne and the University of Queensland.
On Friday, at the University of Sydney, protesters chanted slogans against the Zionist regime, such as “Israel is a terrorist”, while this regime continues its crimes in the Gaza Strip.
After student protests started at Columbia University in America to support Palestine, this movement spread to other universities in the country. After a few days, students in French and English universities also joined this movement.
