The World Bank called for immediate action to save the lives of the people of Gaza

PNN – The World Bank, calling for immediate action to save the lives of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, warned that more than half of the population of this region is on the brink of famine.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the World Bank announced in a statement published on its website: More than half of the people of Gaza, including children and the elderly, are on the brink of famine. The World Bank Group calls for immediate action to save the lives of the people of this region.

The statement added: We agree with the international community’s call for unhindered, immediate and free access to medical equipment, food and vital services for the people of Gaza through all available means.

The World Bank emphasized on the rapid and widespread provision of the needs of the people of Gaza.

This news is published while the World Bank had previously aided Gaza with 35 million dollars.

This new financial aid included $10 million in food packages approved by the World Bank’s board of directors and allocated to provide food for 377,000 people in Gaza.

According to the World Food Program, about 1.1 million people in Gaza are “struggling with catastrophic hunger.”

According to data from the Integrated Food Security Project (IPC), this is the highest number of people facing catastrophic hunger ever.

The latest statistics of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, published on Tuesday, show that after 165 days have passed since the crimes committed by the Zionist army against the residents of Gaza, the attacks on the civilians of this region continue and the number of martyrs has increased to 31,819.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza added: During this period, 73,934 Palestinians were injured due to the attacks of the Zionist regime.
