The World Council of Churches called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza

PNN – The World Council of Churches (WCC) called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the unconditional sending of humanitarian aid to the strip.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, this council, which is headquartered in Switzerland, emphasized in a statement that the war and suffering in the Gaza Strip is caused by the blind nature of the actions of the Israeli army in this area and the failure to observe the fundamental principles of international humanitarian laws and ethics.

Emphasizing that the ceasefire will end this suffering, the World Council of Churches called for “unconditional access to humanitarian aid and the sending of sufficient aid to those in need, and the beginning of a meaningful political process for the people of the region to live in peace and dignity.”

With the passage of eight months since the start of the Zionist regime’s incursion into the Gaza Strip without results and achievements, this regime is sinking more and more into its internal and external crises day by day.

The Ministry of Health of Gaza announced on Tuesday that the number of martyrs of the aggression of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip has increased to 37,164 people since October 7.
