The Zionist regime directly bombed 162 schools in the Gaza Strip.
The spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General emphasized in his remarks: More than 30% of schools in the Gaza Strip have been directly bombed by the Israeli army.
He further stated: 162 schools out of 563 schools in the Gaza Strip have been directly bombed.
The spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General added: 26 schools in this area have also been destroyed and demolished during the Israeli army’s attacks.
This UN official stated: This is while 175,000 students study in these schools and more than 6,500 teachers work in them.
He added: At least 55% of these schools in the Gaza Strip need complete reconstruction or overall reconstruction.
International human rights organizations had previously warned about the critical situation of schools in Gaza and the education system in this area as a result of the recent war.
