PNN – Zionist media reported increasing popular opposition in the Gaza Strip to armed groups affiliated with the Zionist regime, and acknowledged that these groups have faced widespread social rejection after failing to play a security and management role.

The Israeli regime’s Channel 12 television reported that popular opposition to the regime’s armed groups, which committed crimes against civilians during the Gaza war, has increased significantly. According to the network, members of these groups have faced “suffocating social isolation” due to the actions of their leaders.

According to this report, the Israeli security agencies have also acknowledged the complete rejection of these groups by the people of the Gaza Strip and have described them as “exiled groups”; groups that, according to this media outlet, carry out cold-blooded murders of citizens.

Israel’s Channel 12 continued: From the beginning of the war against Gaza, the occupying regime attempted to test a new model by creating local mercenary militias; a model that aimed to replace these groups with the Hamas movement and hand over control of the areas from which the occupying forces were withdrawing.

According to this media outlet, Israeli officials believed that such a model could lead to weakening Hamas’ legitimacy within Gaza society, so they began forming groups that were ostensibly Palestinian but in practice affiliated with the Zionist regime.

The group known as “Abu Shabab”, led by “Yasser Abu Shabab”, was one of these groups, whose leader was killed some time ago.

To carry out security missions and distribute aid in some areas of Gaza, Israel relied on militias and armed gangs such as the Abu Shabab, Estal, and Halas groups, and in return provided them with intelligence and logistical support.

Israel’s Channel 12 TV admitted that these mercenaries affiliated with the Zionist regime failed to present themselves as an “acceptable management or security alternative” and have faced complete failure in this regard.

According to this report, after the end of these mercenary elements’ work for the Zionist regime, the regime’s security circles are seriously considering the option of “leaving them alone” because these groups, despite the widespread support of the Zionist occupiers, lack any popular base in the Gaza Strip.
