PNN – Despite the agreement between the Druze and the interim government ruling Syria, the Zionist regime continues to use various tricks to attract the Druze and incite them against the central government in Damascus.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Ma’ariv, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar issued an order on Thursday to transfer food packages as humanitarian aid to the Druze in Syria.
According to the report, in an operation carried out in recent weeks, the Israeli regime has so far provided 10,000 food packages to Syrian Druze living in security buffer zones. According to the news outlet, most of the packages containing food raw materials were sent to the Druze Mountains (Jabal Hauran) in the Sweida province in southern Syria, and some were sent to Druze communities near the border. The Israeli Foreign Minister, while ordering the transfer of food to southern Syria, emphasized the regime’s support for the Druze minority.
According to Ma’ariv, the Zionist regime created a demilitarized zone and security buffer 80 kilometers deep inside Syrian territory and announced to the Syrian interim government: The regime will not allow weapons to enter the missile line east of the Israeli border. Maariou added: In the past two days, the Israeli Air Force carried out about 40 airstrikes in southern Syria, targeting radar systems, tanks, various weapons, ammunition depots, positions and military headquarters in Syria. However, the Israeli regime allowed hundreds of Druze workers from four Druze villages in southern Syria to enter the Golan Heights to work on agricultural and construction land.
According to Ma’ariv’s report, the Israeli army is planning to establish long-term bases on the slopes of Mount Hermon. The Israeli Minister of Defense also emphasized the long-term presence of the Israeli regime on Mount Hermon in Syria during his trip to southern Syria with Tamir Yadai, the deputy chief of staff of the army.
Maariv added: The Israeli army, while referring to the presence of this army on Mount Hermon in Syria and changing the security and capabilities of the region in favor of the interests of the Israeli regime, stated that by being present in this region, we monitor and control the Lebanon Valley and Damascus.
According to Ma’ariv, in the buffer zone, 40,000 Syrian civilians are under the control of the Israeli regime, of which 25,000 live in the Golan and another 15,000 live on the slopes of Mount Hermon. The regime’s army, which consists of three brigades in the area, is trying to fully protect its territory in terms of security.
