In this conversation, Abdus Salam emphasized that an important part of the relationship between Martyr Haniyeh and Ayatollah Khamenei was based on creating unity in the Islamic Ummah for the liberation of Palestine.
He also pointed to the millions of demonstrations in all corners of the world after the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh and the holding of his funeral in Tehran and Doha. Abdus Salam Haniyeh noted that the multitude of people who came to the streets to bid farewell to the martyred commander showed that Palestine and Jerusalem are at the top of the Islamic Ummah’s plans under any circumstances.
Abdussalam expressed that the martyred commander followed the path of unity and brotherhood throughout his life.
He added that Martyr Haniyeh was the closest person to Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the founder of the Hamas movement, and he also participated in the establishment of the “Majd” security system specific to Hamas, which was commanded by Yahya Sanwar in 1985.
