Three American senators: Biden cannot win against Trump

PNN – Three American senators told their colleagues in a confidential meeting that Joe Biden cannot win the US presidential election against Donald Trump.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Axios, Colorado state senator Michael Bennett, Montana senator Jon Tester and Ohio senator Sherrod Brown expressed doubts about Biden’s ability to win over Trump in the presidential election in a meeting held behind closed doors.

A source familiar with the matter told Axios that Democratic senators did not reach a conclusion on what action to take in this regard, as some of Biden’s supporters continued to support him at the meeting.

Also, senators who are not optimistic about Biden’s chances of victory did not take a clear position on whether he is their best choice or not.

According to a senator present at the meeting, Senate Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York did not argue against or support Biden.

But after that, Schumer reiterated three times that “I’m with Joe Biden.” He also said this on Monday.

Senator Tester said in a statement: “Biden must prove to the American people and me that he can do this.”

In an interview with CNN, in response to the question of whether Biden should withdraw from the election campaign, Senator Bennett said: “We have to talk about it.”

He did not openly say anything about the need for Biden to withdraw from the election campaign, but added: This is an issue that the president should consider.

So far, a number of Democratic lawmakers have explicitly called for Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential campaign.

The US presidential election is scheduled to be held in November, and both main candidates are facing different problems; Joe Biden is unpopular with voters due to his old age and apparent physical infirmity, and on the other hand the impeachment case against his son Hunter Biden, and Donald Trump is still struggling with the convictions of his presidency.

In the first debate with Trump, Biden stuttered, paused too much, and couldn’t articulate his thoughts clearly throughout the debate. After that, doubts about his mental and physical ability to continue campaigning increased.

In an interview with ABC News, the American president claimed that his shaky performance in the debate with Trump was due to poor preparation, fatigue and illness.

However, he has repeatedly emphasized that he will not withdraw from the election campaign.
