According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing RIA Novosti, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a phone call on Wednesday.

A statement issued by the Russian Presidential Office in this regard stated: In this telephone consultation, the Russian President considered the relations between India and Moscow to be based on trust and friendship.

The Russian President also said that India, under Modi’s leadership, is pursuing an independent and sovereign policy in bilateral relations, and has achieved good economic results.
