In response to this call, Deutsche Bahn announced that it will file a complaint with a court in Frankfurt to stop the strike.
German train drivers also went on strike for 24 hours early last month, which was their last strike in 2023. This strike of theirs took place after the negotiations between G.D.L. Union and Deutsche Bahn Company reached an impasse at the end of November.
The union has demanded conditions including a reduction in the working hours of employees per week, a salary increase of 555 euros and a bonus of 3,000 euros with the aim of compensating for the consequences of inflation.
