Trump acknowledges Hamas’ release of all living and dead Israeli prisoners.
According to the Israeli news channel Haft TV, Trump emphasized this morning (Wednesday) at the Hanukkah celebration at the White House, which was attended by some of the families of the Zionist prisoners, including “Aiden Alexander”, an Israeli-American prisoner released from Gaza, that all 20 prisoners, as well as the 28 Israeli prisoners who were killed, had been released by Hamas.
Abu Hamza, spokesman for the Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, also announced last week: “Within the framework of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza war, we have handed over the last body of the Zionist prisoners and closed the file on the Israeli prisoners.”
He added: “During the war, we had emphasized that the enemy prisoners would only return with the decision of the resistance, and they may or may not return in a coffin.”
He stressed that the Quds Brigades and resistance groups have adhered to and implemented all the clauses of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, and he also called on international mediators to pressure the Zionist regime to implement its commitments and stop its repeated criminal aggressions.
This is while the Zionist regime claims that Hamas violated the ceasefire agreement and that the body of an Israeli prisoner remains in Gaza.
The regime had previously claimed regarding the identity of the Israelis that the body that was handed over by the Hamas movement through the Red Cross forces did not belong to any of the Israeli prisoners.
Analysts believe that Tel Aviv is trying to hide its responsibility for its repeated violations of the ceasefire and make Hamas look guilty by making contradictory claims about the prisoners and pressuring the mediators; while the handover of the last Israeli body is a key condition of the first phase of the agreement, which also includes the governance structure in Gaza and the two-way opening of the Rafah crossing.
