PNN – The president and the famous American billionaire Elon Musk are at each other’s throats again after a short-lived truce!
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, President Donald Trump and famous American billionaire Elon Musk have once again clashed in cyberspace after a brief hiatus and temporary ceasefire.
Musk, who is the CEO of Tesla and owner of the social network “X”, and was a member of Trump’s cabinet until recently, serving as the Secretary of “Government Productivity”, is the most prominent figure opposed to Trump’s tax plan; a plan that the US President calls “a big, beautiful bill”.
The African-American billionaire has repeatedly described the bill as “a disaster and a catalyst for a recession in America,” and estimated the government’s debt at $6 trillion following the passage of the plan.

Referring to this bill and posting an image with the word “liar” on it, Musk wrote: Those who campaigned on the promise of spending cuts and continue to support the largest debt ceiling increase in history will see their faces on this poster in the primary elections next year!
In response to Musk’s renewed opposition to the bill, Trump wrote on his social media account, Truth Social: Elon Musk knew long before he strongly endorsed me for president that I was a staunch opponent of mandatory electric cars. This law is ridiculous. Electric cars are great, but we shouldn’t force everyone to have one. Elon has probably received more subsidies than anyone in history, and without them he would probably have to close his business and go back home to South Africa. There would be no more rockets, satellites, or electric cars, and our country would be saving a lot of money. Maybe we should get DOJ to take a serious look at this? A lot of money could be saved!!!
Musk and Trump engaged in a heated argument online on June 5th, following Malik X’s farewell ceremony as the US presidential team’s head of government productivity.
The owner of the social network “X” said that Trump would never have won the November 2024 presidential election without his help, and went on to support his impeachment, criticize his plan to impose tariffs and reduce government spending, and predict a recession for the US economy in the second half of 2025.
Musk also said that the reason for the delay in publishing the controversial Jeffrey Epstein case is that Trump’s name was also on the list. He accused the US president of being involved in the child sexual abuse case and wrote: Trump’s name is in the confidential Jeffrey Epstein file. That’s why the file hasn’t been released yet. On the other hand, Trump claimed that Musk had practically stopped performing his duties while heading the government’s Department of Productivity and had suddenly “gone crazy”!
He also threatened Musk with terminating government contracts with companies under his leadership, including SpaceX, and canceling all allocated subsidies.
Musk later wrote in a message on X, expressing regret for some of his statements about Trump: I regret some of my messages about President Trump last week. It was excessive!
