According to Al Jazeera Qatar, Trump stressed in a press conference: “Anyone who wants to advertise their goods in the United States must pay a tariff. So we will impose tariffs on goods imported from China, India, and Brazil.”

He called for a permanent extension of the tax cuts that were approved during his first term in office, emphasizing: “We must maintain these cuts permanently and we will work with Congress to implement them.”

Trump also announced a plan to reduce taxes on companies operating in the United States from 21 percent to 15 percent.

In another part of his speech, he said: “We do not need cars that are manufactured in Canada and Mexico.”

In the field of the technology industry, Trump also said: “We will impose tariffs on the electronic chip and semiconductor manufacturing industries.”

He added: “Companies that manufacture chips and semiconductors must build their factories in the United States so that they are not subject to tariffs.”

Trump also announced tariffs on steel and aluminum.

The need to focus on China, especially in the field of artificial intelligence

He said: “What happened because of the Chinese startup DEEPSEEK should be a serious warning to everyone.”

Trump added: “We need to focus seriously on competing with China in the field of artificial intelligence.”

The US president also announced: “I will sign an executive order to create an ‘Iron Dome’ for missile defense.”
