PNN – The US president announced his intention to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart this month.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing TASS, US President Donald Trump confirmed that he plans to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky this month.

On his way back to Washington from Cairo, Trump answered a question about the issue and confirmed that he would host Zelensky at the White House on October 17.

He said, without providing details, that “Yes, I think so.”

Trump also declined to answer a question about the possibility of providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. Earlier, Financial Times reporter Christopher Miller had claimed, citing three sources that Trump would meet with Zelensky at the White House.

He also mentioned the weekend phone call between the parties and the discussion about providing American Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.
