According to the report of Pakistan News Network, US President Donald Trump wrote on the social network “Truth Social”: I will meet with Putin in Alaska on August 15th.
Hours ago, at the signing ceremony of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia at the White House, he said that he might announce the time and place of his meeting with Putin in the coming days, or even today.

Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency quoted Putin’s aide as saying: Russia and the United States are close neighbors, so it makes sense for the Putin-Trump meeting to take place in Alaska.

Putin’s foreign adviser also said that Putin and Trump will focus on ways to achieve a long-term solution to the Ukraine crisis at the Alaska summit.
The American newspaper The Wall Street Journal also revealed, citing European and Ukrainian officials, that Putin had presented a comprehensive plan for a ceasefire in Ukraine to the Trump administration.

As European countries and the United States strive to reach a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine, the American website Axios, citing informed sources, revealed that senior officials from the United States, Ukraine, and several European countries plan to meet in England next week.
According to these sources, the purpose of this meeting is to try to reach common positions before the meeting between Trump and Putin.
A Ukrainian official also told Axios that even if Zelensky agrees to Putin’s demands, he is constitutionally obligated to hold a referendum, because he cannot give up any part of Ukrainian territory without holding a referendum.
