Trump: Biden should be jailed.
“He is a criminal and should be in prison,” Donald Trump wrote on his social media account Truth Social on Thursday. “He is a vile, big loser. An ugly person, inside and out! I beat him up big time, and now I enjoy his misery.”
Trump did not directly mention former President Joe Biden, but he appeared to be referring to him because he shared an article about the Arctic Frost case.
The White House did not confirm or deny Trump’s reference to Biden.
The Arctic Frost case was an investigation into an attempt by some Trump allies to overturn the 2020 election by providing Congress with an alternative list of electors.
The investigation was eventually taken over by former special counsel Jack Smith and became the basis for a federal indictment against Trump, accusing him of trying to change the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
The case was dismissed late last year after Trump defeated then-Vice President Kamala Harris to become the 47th president of the United States.
The spring 2022 memo that led to the Arctic Frost investigation cited a CNN interview as evidence that Trump was involved in a criminal conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election.
Several former prosecutors and FBI agents served on the Arctic Frost investigation.
The Arctic Frost investigation sought information on more than 400 Republican-leaning groups and individuals and targeted at least 160 Republicans, including several close Trump allies.
Trump attacked Smith on Wednesday for the revelations.
“These thugs should all be investigated and put in jail,” Trump wrote angrily on Truth Social. “They are a disgrace to humanity. Crazy Jack Smith is a criminal!”
