Trump: BRICS is fading fast after I threatened.
According to Reuters, US President Donald Trump, referring to his previous threat against the BRICS group to impose a 10% tariff, claimed that BRICS has been rapidly disappearing since then.
During the signing ceremony of the cryptocurrency regulation bill, Trump claimed, You know, this little group called BRICS, you remember, is rapidly disappearing!
He claimed that BRICS was going to try to take the place of the dollar, including its dominance and the standard of the dollar. And I said that every country that is a member of the BRICS consortium will face our 10% tariff, and they had a meeting the next day, and almost no one showed up!
He continued, No, we are not going to let the dollar fall. If we have a smart president, they will not let the dollar fall. But if you have a stupid president, that is likely to happen, like with the previous president. Did he have no idea about the dollar crash? But we will not let it happen again.
The BRICS group was founded in 2006. South Africa joined the group, which originally consisted of Brazil, Russia, India, and China, in 2011. Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Ethiopia became full members last year. Indonesia joined in January this year.
