PNN – US President Donald Trump welcomed Ukraine’s agreement to a 30-day ceasefire and the return of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the White House, saying: I hope Putin will also agree to a ceasefire.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Donald Trump added on Tuesday evening local time in a conversation with reporters on the White House grounds: Ukraine has agreed to a complete ceasefire and we hope Russia will agree too. We will meet with them (Russia) today or tomorrow. If Russia does not agree to a ceasefire, the war will continue and more people will die.
Trump said on the South Lawn of the White House: I think that’s a very big difference, I think that’s a big difference from the last meeting you had in the Oval Office, and that’s a complete ceasefire.
Trump is referring to last month’s heated confrontation in the Oval Office with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who expelled him and the Ukrainian delegation from the White House after a verbal altercation with Trump and his vice president.
Asked whether he would invite Zelensky to the White House, Trump told reporters: “Absolutely, absolutely.”
The US President said: Three to four thousand Ukrainian and Russian soldiers are being killed every week. But civilians are also being killed, and we are trying to end this war.
