Trump: If you think tariffs are too high, don’t trade with America.
According to Russia Today, US President Donald Trump said that countries that believe Washington’s tariffs on their goods are too high can choose not to trade with the US.
Last week, Trump imposed tougher tariffs on about 90 countries and then suspended them for 90 days. Of course, the 90-day suspension does not include China, which has been engaged in a tariff war with the US, and the two countries have been increasing tariffs in a ping-pong manner.
In the latest tariff, Washington has increased customs duties on imports from China to 145%.
Noting that “we can finally implement what we want very well,” Trump said: “We can set the tariff and they can decide not to trade with us or pay the tariff. If they think the tariffs are too high, they don’t have to do business with us.
