Trump imposes 25% tariff on imports from the European Union.
According to AFP, US President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced a 25% tariff on imports from the European Union.
According to the agency, the US President said today that the customs duties on EU products will be 25% in general. He added that the tariffs on Canada and Mexico will be applied from early April this year.
In his first cabinet meeting on the EU tariffs, Trump said: “I will announce it soon (the details); but it will be 25% in general and it will apply to cars and everything.”
This is while the European Union had previously threatened to respond appropriately if Trump’s tariff threat was implemented.
