Trump names Caroline Leavitt as White House’s spokesperson.
President-elect Donald Trump has named his campaign spokeswoman Carolyn Leavitt as his next White House press secretary, according to the New York Times.
According to the New York Times, Leavitt, 27, will take on one of the most visible jobs in Mr. Trump’s next administration, which will be to represent the president in dealing with the mainstream media and answering reporters’ questions in the White House briefing room. She will be the youngest person ever to hold the role.
In a statement about the new White House press secretary, Trump said: “Carolyn is smart and tough and has proven to be a very effective communicator. I have the utmost confidence that she will excel at the podium and help deliver our message to the American people as we make America great again.”
Trump also picked North Dakota Governor Doug Bergham as his next secretary of the interior yesterday.
Trump was speaking at the America First Policy Institute dinner at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida when he announced the news, saying: “He is going to take over as Secretary of the Interior. Very good things are going to happen. We are going to do everything with the Department of the Interior with energy; and it is going to be exciting.”

In the latest developments regarding the formation of the future US government, Donald Trump announced hours ago, by publishing a message on his personal social network “Truth Social,” that he will not invite “Jamie Dimon,” a famous American investor and businessman, to participate in the country’s future government.

Donald Trump wrote: “I have great respect for Jamie Dimon, but he will not be invited to the Trump administration; I thank him for his invaluable service to our country.”
