The US president told reporters that the ongoing nuclear talks were going “very well” and “we will reach an agreement on this very soon.”
Before the third round of Iran-US talks in Muscat, Trump had also said: Negotiations with Iran are going very well.
Before traveling to Italy and attending Pope Francis’ funeral, he said: I think the Iran issue is going very well, we’ll have to see what happens.
After the Muscat talks concluded, a senior US government official described them as “positive and constructive” and said: There is still much work to be done, but further progress has been made towards reaching an agreement. We agreed to meet again soon in Europe.
