Trump ordered to confront and punish pro-Palestinian students and educational institutions

PNN – Under the pretext of fighting anti-Semitism, the White House announced that the new US president, Donald Trump, signed an order to monitor the activities of students and educational institutions and punish and expel them if they support Palestine.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the White House announced on Wednesday night local time in a statement quoting Donald Trump, the Republican President of this country: My administration has and will continue to fight anti-Semitism in the United States and around the world. On December 11, 2019, I issued Executive Order No. 13899, my first executive order to combat anti-Semitism, declaring that students are particularly vulnerable to anti-Semitic harassment in schools and universities.

The White House added: The previous government (Democrat Joe Biden’s government) practically canceled Executive Order No. 13899 by not fully implementing it throughout the government. This Executive Order confirms Order No. 13899 and issues additional measures to advance its policies in the wake of the October 7, 2023, terrorist attacks by Hamas against the people of Israel, particularly in schools and universities.

The White House statement said: These attacks set off an unprecedented wave of discrimination, vandalism and anti-Semitic violence against our citizens, especially in schools and universities. Jewish students faced an unprecedented wave of discrimination; including denying access to public areas of universities and schools, including libraries and classrooms; Threats and physical harassment.

The White House has stated in its statement that within 60 days from the date of this order, the head of each department or executive body shall submit a report to the President through the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy Affairs, identifying all officials or civil and criminal actions.

Earlier, a White House official said Trump would sign an executive order to combat anti-Semitism and pledge to deport foreign students and other immigrant residents who have participated in pro-Palestinian protests.

A report of the executive order states that Trump directs the Justice Department to “vigorously prosecute threats of terrorism, arson, vandalism and violence against American Jews.”

In this executive order, the President of the United States has given orders to federal agencies. Deport anti-Semitic activists from America, including students.

The executive order authorizes the deportation of resident aliens, including students with visas, for violating the law in anti-Israel protests after the October 7 attacks. During his presidential campaign, Trump demanded the deportation of pro-Hamas students who are in the United States with visas.

The executive order is part of a series of orders Trump has signed since taking office as he seeks to maximize his power and deliver on campaign promises.

Many universities, especially Columbia University in New York City, became the site of pro-Palestinian protests during the Israel-Hamas war. The involved students asked their universities to cut off their financial ties with Israel and the US to end its military support to Israel.

Trump’s latest order, first reported by the New York Post, gives agency and department heads 60 days to submit recommendations to the White House on how to identify anti-Semitic threats.

Meanwhile, Trump has invited Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, to the White House next week as the first foreign leader in the second term of the presidency.
