Trump revokes security clearances of several former senior US officials

PNN – The US President issued an executive order revoking the security clearances and access to classified information of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and a number of other officials.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the NBC website wrote today that, according to the text of this directive, these 15 people will not have the right to access classified briefings or unsupervised entry into US government security facilities.

Other individuals named in the circular include former House Representatives Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, former Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, and New York Attorney General Letitia James, as well as all members of the Biden family.

Previously, Tulsi Gabbard, the US Director of National Intelligence, had revoked the clearances of many of these individuals.

Trump said in mid-winter that he would cut off former US President Joe Biden’s access to intelligence information.

A few days ago, he also said that he would remove Biden’s children (Hunter and Ashley) from the Secret Service’s protective umbrella.

According to this American media outlet, revoking the security clearances of at least 50 former intelligence officials was one of the first actions Trump took after returning to the White House in January.
