Trump: Russia made a big concession by refraining from taking over Ukraine

PNN – US President Donald Trump, in a statement referring to Moscow’s superior military power over Kiev in the war, emphasized: By refraining from completely taking over Ukraine, Russia has made a huge concession to achieve peace.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Euro News, Trump stated in a meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Storte at the White House that both Russia and Ukraine seek peace: However, if they ignore our demand for a quick end to the war, we may change our approach significantly.

The US President went on to point out the significant pressure he has exerted on Moscow, adding: This same pressure has led Russian President Vladimir Putin to now be willing to negotiate.

Trump also said that he believed Putin wanted to reach an agreement, noting: We will soon see the results of our efforts to achieve peace, but reaching an agreement requires the consent of both parties involved in the war, and the consent of one side is not sufficient.

Trump had previously promised repeatedly in his campaign speeches that he would end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours, although this timeline has been revised and changed since his victory in the presidential election and entry into the White House.

Many experts believe that ending this war will not be possible in such a short period of time. Some believe that Trump may be able to end this war by the end of this year (2025).

The Ukrainian war began as a result of the West’s indifference to Moscow’s security concerns and the expansion of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces close to Russia’s borders.

Moscow launched “special military operations” in Ukraine after the West, especially the United States, ignored its security concerns.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly reiterated his conditions for ending the Ukrainian war, including Kiev’s non-joining of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the lifting of all Western sanctions against Russia, and the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Donbass and Novorossiya regions.
