Trump seeks to calm the situation before his trip to the region/The secret of Hamas’ insistence on stopping the war

PNN – Analyzing the reasons for Hamas’ insistence on American and international guarantees not to resume the war after the release of Israeli prisoners from Gaza, an analyst of Palestinian political affairs said that the US government is seeking to temporarily calm the situation in Gaza before Donald Trump’s visit to the region.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Shahab News Agency, political analyst Majid al-Zubadeh said: Hamas is seeking a comprehensive exchange agreement that will end the Gaza war, and Hamas is not seeking a temporary ceasefire.

He added that Hamas understands that the Trump administration is seeking to calm the situation in the region in preparation for Trump’s visit in the coming weeks, which aims to pocket huge sums of money from the Gulf countries.

Referring to the American-Israeli agreement on the goals of the Gaza war, Al-Zabada also discussed the Trump administration’s new approach and prioritizing American interests over those of the Zionist regime.

He added: The Trump administration believes that the continuation of the war benefits Netanyahu and his extremist cabinet, which, despite America’s unwavering military and political support, has not been able to achieve the goals of the war and has so far failed to return the prisoners and defeat Hamas. On the other hand, Trump, who promised his voters an end to the war and the release of the prisoners, sees his promises as wasted in the shadow of the defeat of Netanyahu’s cabinet.

Al-Zubda stressed: Trump, who is looking to travel to Arab countries in the coming weeks, does not want to witness the genocide in Gaza and overshadow this trip, because he is looking to take a lot of money from the Persian Gulf countries and encourage Saudi Arabia to normalize relations with the occupying regime. Currently, in light of Israel’s failure to achieve the goals of the Gaza war, the Trump administration is seeking to calm the situation in Gaza before his trip to the region.

The analyst stated: Hamas is well aware of Netanyahu’s goals in proposing a temporary ceasefire, as well as the US government’s need for a temporary ceasefire, and therefore Hamas is talking about a complete package that includes an end to the war and a clear US guarantee that the occupiers will not resume the war.

He continued by stating that the failure of the occupiers to free the prisoners and achieve complete victory has created a huge rift in Israel, and this rift is growing day by day in the shadow of Netanyahu’s avoidance of admitting defeat or agreeing to a swap deal according to Hamas’s conditions to end the war, and he recalled: The increase in the number of signatories to the petition opposing the continuation of the Gaza war and the participation of prominent military, security, and academic elites of the regime in this petition and their call for an agreement that would release the prisoners in exchange for an end to the war, indicates the dire internal situation in Israel and the consequences of the continuation of the war on the economy and livelihoods of most Israelis, as well as the inability of the Zionist regime’s cabinet to make up for this shortfall.

The political analyst continued, describing the internal situation in Israel as chaotic and saying: Netanyahu and his ruling coalition are seeking to ignore this situation by accusing the opposition. Trump’s nature and his awareness of Netanyahu’s intentions to expand the scope of the war in line with his political and personal goals forced Netanyahu to move towards a lasting peace in Gaza. Trump knows full well that the continuation of the war will hinder his Middle East plan and contradict his promises about ending the war and releasing prisoners.
