Trump supports Jolani by sending a written message.

The message, delivered by Thomas Barrack, the US special envoy to Syria, to Ahmed al-Sharaa, included the sentence, “You will be a great leader and the United States will help in this path.”

The official Syrian news agency (SANA) also announced that al-Sharaa met with Thomas Barrack, the US special envoy to Syria, in Damascus and discussed the latest developments in the region and issues of common concern.

Al-Arabi TV also reported that Trump’s message, in addition to the text, also included a picture of their previous meeting at the White House in Washington.

Donald Trump’s message to Ahmed al-Sharaa and his praise and support for the head of the Syrian interim government came at a time when Ahmed al-Sharaa, known as “Abu Muhammad al-Julani”, was previously on the US list of most-wanted terrorists and the US government had set a reward for his capture or killing.
