Trump: Very good talks with Iran

PNN – US President Donald Trump announced that very good negotiations have been held with Iran and that positive news is coming from the talks.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, US President Donald Trump announced to reporters that very good negotiations have been held with Iran and that positive news is coming from the negotiations.

According to the Hill report, he stated: Let’s see what happens, but I think we could hear some good news from Iran.

Trump noted: I don’t know if I’m going to tell you good things or bad things, but I feel like I’m going to tell you good things about it.

Trump’s remarks come as the fifth round of talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran on its nuclear program was held in Rome, Italy, on Friday.

Sayyed Abbas Araqchi, our country’s Foreign Minister, stated that the outcome of the negotiations will be known when the rights of the Iranian people are secured, adding: The task of the enrichment issue is clear to us.

He also stated last night that the Omani side proposed solutions to remove obstacles in recent negotiations, which are currently being considered.

At the same time, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, criticized America’s contradictory positions in an interview with the German weekly Der Spiegel, warning that continuing Washington’s current approach could lead to the negotiations failing.

He added that the US’s desire to publicize the negotiations has damaged the trust necessary for the talks to progress. Takht-Ravanchi emphasized: It is important for us that the talks remain in the negotiating room and not in the media. If America wants to deprive us of our rights, of course we will not agree to it.

He warned that military threats, including those made by US President Donald Trump, could lead to Iranian retaliation.

The ongoing negotiations, which began in Muscat, Oman, on April 12, 2025, aimed to revive the JCPOA. Following meetings in Rome and Muscat, there were signs of progress, but differences over the level of uranium enrichment and the lifting of US sanctions remain unresolved.

In these negotiations, the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes the preservation of its nuclear rights, including uranium enrichment for peaceful purposes, and considers any pressure or threat to be an obstacle to the progress of the talks. Tehran calls for negotiations based on mutual respect and has warned that if pressure intensifies, countermeasures such as stopping cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency will be on the agenda.
