PNN – The President of the United States warned the left-wing government of Honduran against altering the election results.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Fox News, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, directly intervened in the Honduran presidential election and warned that changing the results in favor of the country’s ruling left-wing party would have bad consequences.
In a post on the social network “Truth Social,” Trump wrote: The people of Honduras voted widely on November 30, and their votes must be counted and democracy must be respected. Changing the people’s vote will have a heavy cost.

Preliminary results of Honduras election: Trump-backed candidate leads
Vote counting has been completed in about 57 percent of polling stations, and Nasry Asfura, the candidate supported by Trump from the National Party, and Salvador Nasralla from the Liberal Party, are leading with only a few hundred votes separating them. Rixi Moncada, the candidate of the ruling Libre Party, is in third place with about 20 percent less.
Trump had previously also supported Asfura and introduced him as the only candidate he endorsed, promising that, together with the United States, he would fight against “narco-communists.” He also announced that Juan Orlando Hernández, the former President of Honduras who has been sentenced to 45 years in prison in the U.S., would be pardoned.
International affairs experts consider Trump’s open support for one candidate and his threat to sanction the left-wing party as direct interference in the Honduran election.
