Trump: We will reach an agreement with India soon

PNN – US President Donald Trump announced that his country will soon reach an agreement with India on trade tariffs.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, US President Donald Trump added to reporters on Tuesday local time that he thinks the United States and India will reach an agreement soon.

So far, no new trade agreements have been announced with any country, but the US President stated: We have made good progress in negotiations with India.

US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick also told the country’s CNBC network that the US has reached an agreement with one country, but the agreement still needs to be approved by that country’s parliament and prime minister.

Continuing his conversation with reporters, the US President also added: If automakers cannot supply the needed parts, we do not want to punish them.

Trump also said about his phone conversation with the head of Amazon that he had a “very good” phone call with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

The comments came after Amazon decided to stop displaying the costs of tariffs imposed by the US government alongside the prices of its products.

CNN reported that in the phone conversation, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with reports that Amazon was considering adding information about customs tariff costs to the sales page of some products.

Trump said of his call with Bezos: It was great. Jeff Bezos was very nice. He was wonderful. He resolved the issue very quickly and made the right decision. He’s a good guy.

White House press secretary Carolyn Leavitt also told reporters that the president considered any move by Amazon to publicly display tariffs to be “political and hostile.”
