Trump’s chief of staff alleges the president has an alcoholic personality, and Musk uses psychedelics.

In a brazen interview with Vanity Fair, Susie Wiles of the Telegraph newspaper also called US Vice President JD Vance a “conspiracy theorist, described Musk as “weird,” and criticized Trump’s policies.

The Telegraph adds that the woman, who is Trump’s most trusted aide and has lasted longer in the position than any previous incumbent, was brutally honest in her interview, saying that the Trump administration’s dismissals are being carried out recklessly.

She also criticized the abrupt dismantling of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and added that she has called on the US president to stop “settling scores” with political enemies.

Wiles, also known as the “Ice Lady, stressed that she disagrees with Trump’s decision to release prisoners from the January 6th Congressional riot.

The 61-year-old politician also referred to Trump’s close relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying the US president “doesn’t quite understand” how negative it can be to praise the Israeli prime minister.

The Telegraph stressed that such an interview from a presidential chief of staff was unprecedented, adding that after its publication, Wiles wrote in a post on the X platform: “The report, which came out early this morning, is a hypocritical and targeted attack on me and the best president, White House staff and cabinet in history.”

The post was then met with widespread support from key figures in the Trump administration, including Vance and US Attorney General Pam Bundy, and 11 other cabinet members.

After the report was published, Vance said in a speech at an economic rally in Pennsylvania that he was a conspiracy theorist, and that it had always been a joke between him and Ms. Wiles. He then insisted that he had never seen Susie be unfaithful to the president.

Wiles has done a great job

In an interview with the New York Post, Trump also defended his chief of staff, saying he had done a “great job.”

He added, “I didn’t read that report; I don’t read Vanity Fair at all, but she did a great job. From what I hear, I think the facts were wrong, and the interviewer was very misleading, intentionally misleading.”

The British newspaper further noted: Nearly a year into the Trump administration, the US president is facing accusations including undermining American democracy, enriching himself and his family, and using his power to silence the media, academia and the judiciary.

However, Trump claims that he is the victim of a “witch hunt” by political enemies who are forcing the media and elite institutions to manipulate narratives against him.
