Steve Whitakoff, Trump’s special envoy for the Middle East, also claimed that nuclear talks between the United States and Iran will likely take place “next week or so.” If held, this would be the first diplomatic interaction between Washington and Tehran since the 12-day war imposed by the Zionist regime against Iran.

Trump also claimed before the dinner that “the joint US-Israeli attacks have hit Iran very hard, but now they seem ready to talk. I hope the war with Iran is over.”

In response to a question about the exact timing of the alleged negotiations, he declined to provide details, saying: I prefer not to say, but you will find out about it tomorrow.

Iranian President Masoud Pezzekian previously said that he believed Tehran could resolve its differences with the United States through dialogue, but after the US and Israeli attacks, the main issue are trust.

Trump also claimed that Iran has “oil power, wonderful, intelligent, energetic, and amazing people,” adding: I would like to see Iran rebuild itself in peace.

In another part, Trump addressed Iran’s response to the US attack and targeting of the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, claiming that “everything, even the timing and destination, was carefully coordinated”!

Trump’s claim about Iran’s request for negotiations comes at a time when Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai denied the US president’s claims and emphasized: We have not made any request for a meeting to the American side.
