Trump’s contradictory behavior: Again, threatening and tempting Iran at the same time.
According to TASS, US President Donald Trump, who had previously broken his promise to withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2018 during his first term as president, has once again claimed that he would prefer to reach an agreement with Iran!
In an interview with the New York Post, Trump, repeating his nonsense against Tehran and resorting to threats, claimed: I would prefer to reach an agreement with Iran on non-nuclearity instead of attacking.
According to him, “such an agreement is possible and Israel will not attack Iran”!
Trump added: I tell them that I will agree. I am also not inclined to say what we are going to do. You know, that is not the right thing to do. I will not bomb them (!)
He added: I know what I have to tell them and I hope they conclude that they will not do what they are thinking about doing now. And I think they will be really happy.
Trump’s claims and nonsense against Iran come at a time when, since taking office on January 20, he has repeatedly expressed his desire to negotiate with Iran, and has always resorted to the “carrot and stick” policy to advance Washington’s goals!
Trump, who witnessed the absolute failure of the maximum pressure policy against Iran during his first term in the White House, has recently signed a memorandum against Iran, seeking to exert maximum pressure on Tehran once again and is desperately seeking a solution to persuade Tehran to come to the negotiating table.
Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Revolution, recently stated in a meeting with the commanders of the Iranian Air Force and Air Defense, emphasizing “America’s experience of repeated breaches of promises,” that “negotiations with America are not intelligent, wise, or honorable, and have no effect on resolving the country’s problems.” (More details)
