A White House official told Axios: Bibi behaved like a psychopath. He bombed everywhere at all times. This behavior could overshadow what Trump is trying to do.
Another senior US official, referring to the bombing of a church in the Gaza Strip last week, which led Trump to call Netanyahu and demand an explanation, quoted Trump as saying: It seems like every day we have to expect something new. What are you doing wrong?
Another White House official also said that there is a growing skepticism within the Trump administration about Netanyahu, and a sense that his trigger finger is too restless and he is being too disruptive. Netanyahu sometimes seems like a rude child!
Despite a Washington-brokered ceasefire that has halted fighting in Syria this week, the atmosphere around the White House over the weekend was all about the issue, according to six US officials; everyone has become more wary of Netanyahu and his regional policies.
However, according to Axios, Trump has so far refrained from publicly criticizing Netanyahu, and it is unclear whether his opinion is the same as that of his advisers, and whether the US president shares the same concerns about Syria as those around him!
