According to the report of Pakistan News Network; US President Donald Trump announced in a post on his social media that he had agreed to a two-week ceasefire and a halt to military aggression against Iran.
He wrote: Following consultations with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir, and at their request to halt the destructive operations that were to be carried out against Iran tonight, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the “full, immediate and safe opening” of the Strait of Hormuz, I am agreeing to a two-week suspension of bombing and attacking Iran. This will be a bilateral “ceasefire”!
He also said in part of his message: We have received a 10-point proposal from Iran and we believe that this plan is a practical and appropriate basis for moving forward with negotiations.
Trump claimed: Almost all of the past contentious issues between the United States and Iran have been agreed upon, but this two-week opportunity will allow for the finalization and full implementation of this agreement.
