Trump’s plan decisively aims to protect Tel Aviv from isolation
“Mohammed al-Sammadi,” a Jordanian expert on military and strategic affairs, said: “The American plan announced by Trump meets all the demands of the Zionist regime and realizes this regime’s project.”
Al-Sammadi emphasized: “This plan is colonial and has been prepared in a way and context that will put Gaza under foreign administration. This plan does not look at the Palestinians as citizens, but rather as people who live in Gaza.”
He added, “The goal of this plan is to save the Zionist regime from isolation. Recently, we have witnessed the isolation of the Zionist regime and a change in global public opinion.”
The Jordanian general emphasized: “Trump’s plan means the end of Palestinian resistance and the strengthening and consolidation of the division and the separation of Gaza and the West Bank.”
This strategic affairs expert emphasized: “What Israel has not been able to achieve during the two years of war, the US government is seeking to achieve through political solutions.” What is actually happening is ignoring the future reconstruction plan for Gaza and the guardianship and implementation of the economic plans of the US and the Zionist regime, but the big question is how do we as Arabs accept a foreign ruler in an Arab land!?
He added: Trump’s plan shows that Gaza is being managed as an international issue and not as part of a Palestinian national project. This deepens the crisis of legitimacy and sovereignty, and therefore there are many doubts about the nature of this plan. However, we must be fully aware that everything the US government offers serves the interests of the Zionist regime, because it has proven its dishonesty. The Palestinian cause is in danger. Silence reigns in the face of American hegemony in the region.
According to IRNA, Donald Trump recently unveiled his 20-point plan for a ceasefire in Gaza at a press conference held in the presence of the Israeli Prime Minister.
Although Trump’s 21-point plan introduces its goal as ending the war in Gaza and rebuilding the region. But opponents at various levels – from Palestinian groups to human rights institutions and even Western analysts – have strongly criticized the plan.
International human rights organizations have emphasized that Trump’s plan focuses more on disarming Gaza than on ensuring the safety of civilians. According to Human Rights Watch, any reconstruction process or ceasefire will only lead to a continuation of the humanitarian crisis if it is not accompanied by lifting the siege and ensuring freedom of movement.
An analyst on Al Jazeera also stated that “Trump seeks to make Gaza akin to a free economic zone, but without real freedom for the people. This means reconstruction in the service of control, not liberation.”
