Trump’s plan to bring Baku and Central Asian countries to normalization agreements

Central

PNN – Reuters, quoting informed sources, wrote that the US president is seeking consultations with the Republic of Azerbaijan and some of Washington’s allies in Central Asia to join them in normalization agreements with the Zionist regime.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Reuters quoted five informed sources and wrote that US President Donald Trump is persistently seeking to convince the Republic of Azerbaijan and a number of other allies of Washington in Central Asia to join the agreements to normalize relations with the Zionist regime.

According to these sources, now that the Republic of Azerbaijan and all Central Asian countries have long-standing relations with Israel, this means that the expansion of the “Abraham” agreements by including them will be largely symbolic and will focus on strengthening relations in areas such as trade and military cooperation.

Reuters further wrote: The initial version of the “Abraham” agreements, which were concluded in 2020 and 2021 during the first term of Trump’s presidency, between Israel and four Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East and Africa, focused on the normalization of diplomatic relations with Israel after the mediation of the United States.

However, the increase in the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip and the blocking of the entry of food and humanitarian aid to this strip and the Zionist regime’s use of food as a weapon and the continuation of military operations in Gaza have provoked the anger of the Arab world and complicated Trump’s desperate efforts to add more Muslim countries to the Abraham Accords.

The war in Gaza, which has so far led to the martyrdom of more than 60,000 Palestinians, including dozens of women and children, has also provoked the anger of the international community. In recent days, Canada, France and England have announced their plan to recognize the independent state of Palestine.

Also, according to three sources, one of the controversial issues is the dispute between Azerbaijan and the neighboring country of Armenia, because the Trump administration considers the peace agreement between these two countries located in the Caucasus region as a prerequisite for joining the normalization agreements.

According to the sources, while Trump administration officials have publicly mentioned several possible options for entering into normalization agreements, the negotiations around Baku are among the most coherent and serious. According to two sources, a possible agreement can be reached within a few months or even a few weeks!
