PNN – With fuel prices rising during the Iran war, Trump’s approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 36 percent.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, a joint Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that Donald Trump’s approval rating has reached its lowest level, 36 percent, as fuel prices have risen during the Iran war.

According to the poll, Trump’s popularity has fallen to its lowest level since his return to the White House in recent days, a trend attributed to rising fuel prices and widespread dissatisfaction with the war against Iran.

The poll found that 36 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s performance, down from 40 percent last week.

Americans’ views of Trump’s performance on the economy and the cost of living have also become noticeably more negative, especially as gasoline prices have risen following coordinated U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28. Only 25 percent of respondents approved of his performance on managing the cost of living, an issue that was a central focus of his 2024 campaign.

Also, just 29% of Americans approve of Trump’s economic management, the lowest level of his presidency and even lower than the lowest recorded for Joe Biden.

Trump’s overall approval rating was 47 percent at the start of his presidency and has hovered around 40 percent since last summer. However, the current level is still above his first-term low of 33 percent and slightly above Biden’s low of 35 percent.

On the issue of war, the poll shows that support for US strikes on Iran has fallen to 35%, while 61% oppose it. Also, 46% of respondents believe that the war will reduce US security in the long term, while only 26% disagree.

The poll also shows that 63% of Americans rate the state of the economy as “poor.”
