PNN – In a resolution proposed to the United Nations to end the war in Ukraine, the administration of “Donald Trump” demanded an end to the conflict as soon as possible, without mentioning the territorial integrity of Kiev.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from AFP, diplomatic sources announced that the United States proposed a resolution to the United Nations regarding the war in Ukraine, in which it did not mention the occupied territories of Ukraine.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has asked the members of the United Nations to approve this “simple and historic” resolution.
Agence France-Presse noted that the presentation of the said resolution by Washington to the United Nations takes place in the heat of the escalation of tensions between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In the latest statements, besides calling Zelensky a “dictator”, Trump has announced that his presence in the peace talks is not important.

According to this news agency, it seems that the resolution proposed by the United States is in conflict with the resolution prepared by Kyiv and European allies; Allies that Trump seeks to exclude from the Ukraine peace talks.
In the text of the resolution proposed by Ukraine and the Europeans, in addition to blaming Russia as the initiator of the war, it is emphasized the need to increase diplomatic efforts to end this three-year conflict, to use several initiatives and the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine.
On the contrary, in the plan proposed by Washington, the quick end of the conflict is emphasized without mentioning the territorial integrity of Kyiv. Vasily Nebenzia, Moscow’s ambassador to the United Nations, also welcomed this proposal as “a good step”, but emphasized that the “roots” of this war have not been addressed.
Agence France-Presse considers another significant issue in the resolution proposed by Washington to be the non-criticism of Moscow and that it does not consider it to be the main source of the war.
Richard Govan from “International Crisis Group” said in response to Washington’s resolution: “The text of the summary, which does not condemn Russian aggression or explicitly mention the territorial integrity of Ukraine, is a betrayal of Kiev and a blow to the European Union, and at the same time shows contempt for the principles of international law.”
He added: “I think that many countries who want a quick end to this war are worried that America will ignore the main provisions of the UN Charter.”
