PNN – Referring to the war between the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, the American historian said that the US president’s ill-considered war will end the country’s hegemony.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Alfred McCoy, an American political analyst and historian, stated in a speech: Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz is reminiscent of the Suez Crisis of 1956.

The American historian added: The Suez Crisis of 1956, when Egypt was attacked by Israel, France and Britain and responded by blocking the canal. This crisis marked the end of the British Empire.

Comparing this historical issue with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by the Islamic Republic of Iran to warring countries, McCoy emphasized: US President Donald Trump’s ill-considered war could similarly mark the end of US hegemony.

Since the beginning of the aggressive attacks by the US and the Zionist regime on Iran, the country’s officials have repeatedly emphasized Iran’s right to defend itself and said that although Iran does not seek war, it will respond decisively to any aggression.
