PNN – Mike Waltz, Donald Trump’s choice for the post of National Security Advisor, said that the observation of an increasing number of unidentified drones over some states was caused by a gap in the security of American airspace.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Reuters news agency, Waltz explained that what the issue of drones reveals is a kind of gap in our institutions, a gap in our authority among the forces of the Department of Homeland Security, law enforcement in the states and the Department of Defense.
Reuters adds: The outgoing administration of Joe Biden downplayed concerns about the growing sighting of unidentified drones over some states of the country and announced that no evidence of a threat to national security has been seen from these drones.

In the meantime, even some legislative democrats have expressed their disappointment that the government is not transparent in its response to public concerns.
Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar asked the Biden administration to hold a briefing for senators and explain the current situation. He demanded more transparency and review of the regulations and emphasized: such a situation should not exist; because nobody knows why this big drone is right over their house.
Referring to the same situation, Waltz said that Americans are disappointed with the failure of the Biden administration to clarify the report of unidentified drones.
The first wave of unidentified drone sightings in New Jersey dates back to mid-November, and has since spread to Maryland, Massachusetts and other states.
On the other hand, Internal Security Minister Alejandro Mayorkas, in response to criticism regarding the reasons for the presence of drones, defended the government’s approach and said that his agency has deployed the necessary forces and technology to deal with this situation.
