Trump’s speech at the Republican Congress. From Tehran to Pyongyang.

According to Tass, Donald Trump, the former president and current candidate for the 2024 U.S. presidential election, recently spoke at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, shortly after surviving an assassination attempt. In his address, he emphasized that he was nominated to “preserve democracy.”

While officially accepting the Republican Party’s nomination, Trump covered a variety of topics.

Preserving Democracy

Trump asserted, “I am the only one who preserves democracy for the people of our country.” He criticized the idea of turning political opponents into criminals and demonizing critics. He urged Democrats to abandon their current tactics if they wish to unite the nation, referring to his own experiences over the past eight years.

Peace and Reconciliation

He promised to restore global peace and reconciliation if re-elected. Trump stated, “We will bring law and order back to our streets, instill patriotism in our schools, and most importantly, foster peace, stability, and reconciliation worldwide.” He argued that the country needs to be rescued from what he described as the current administration’s failed and incompetent leadership.

He continued, “Our opponents (the Democrats) took over a stable world and turned it into a battlefield. We are living on a planet of war. Look at the situation in Israel and Ukraine—cities are being bombed. I will protect our sons and daughters. When we ensure safety on our streets, we contribute to global stability. I was the first modern president not to initiate any new wars, aside from defeating ISIS. We had no wars. I can end conflicts with just a phone call!”

Iran and North Korea

Trump claimed, “When I was president, Tehran was ready to negotiate an agreement with the United States regarding its nuclear program.” He noted that Iran is now closer to developing nuclear weapons, a situation that did not occur during his presidency.

He expressed confidence that he could improve relations with North Korea if he returned to the White House, stating, “When we come back, I will engage with him (Kim Jong Un, the North Korean leader). He wants to meet with me!”

Economy

Highlighting the strength of the American economy during his administration, Trump claimed, “We had an economy like no other, unmatched by any country. We were beating China decisively. We will do it again, even better!”

Unsuccessful Assassination Attempt

About the recent assassination attempt, Trump recounted, “Behind me to the right was a large screen displaying a graph related to illegal immigration during my presidency. The numbers were incredible. I turned my head to the right to see the graph and was about to turn a bit more when I was fortunate not to. At that moment, I heard a loud whistling sound and felt a sharp impact.”

He added, “If I hadn’t moved my head at the last second, the attacker’s bullet would have struck me perfectly, and I wouldn’t be here tonight!”
