PNN – Turkey, continuing its counter-espionage operations, arrested another 357 individuals suspected of membership in the terrorist group ISIS.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Al-Mayadeen, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the country’s police on Tuesday arrested 357 suspects of membership in the terrorist group ISIS in simultaneous operations across 21 provinces.

Today, a statement was also issued by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, stating that 17 suspects linked to the terrorist organization ISIS were identified for joining or fighting in its ranks in conflict zones.

The statement, noting that 11 of these suspects hold foreign nationality, added that investigations into the suspects are currently ongoing at the Ankara Security Directorate.

This incident follows an operation carried out by Turkish authorities against ISIS in Yalova province in the west of the country, which, according to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, resulted in the death of 3 police officers and the injury of 8 others. The Turkish Interior Minister announced the killing of 6 ISIS terrorists in these attacks.
